Review of Magnolia (1999) by Davis B — 10 May 2017
Proves that Paul Thomas Anderson is capable of more emotional depth compared to the superficial pleasures of Boogie Nights, without losing the electric directorial style of his early career. The length weighs down the film a little (over 3 hours.
) Still, you can't blame him for taking time to tell his most personal story. None of it would be possible without the performances.
