Review of Magician: The Astonishing Life and Work of Orson Welles (2014) by Brad S — 28 Jan 2016
I found this documentary on the Legendary Orson Welles worth watching, but I was somewhat disappointed. Having recently watched 2 film related documentaries: "Hitchcock/Truffaut' and "Listen to Me Marlon, both of which I found to be outstanding, I had higher hopes for this doc.
on Welles. He was such an important figure in cinema, and an interesting character, but I found the documentary rather perfunctory. I learned nothing new, didn't love the interviews, and essentially just felt that the film could've been better.
Everything being said, it's still worth a watch and you can decide for yourself.
