Review of Magic Mike XXL (2015) by Darlene W — 07 Nov 2015

Not sure if this was meant to be a sequel or a Saturday Night Live parody. Very disappointing. The script was weak with no resolution, acting moments were often awkward, and the F bomb was dropped so often it became distracting.

The biggest disappointment was the lack of actual dancing. It was predominantly grinding into ladies faces. Raunchy as opposed to sexy. Waited for the an epic dance moment at the end which never came.

More grinding. Under-developed relationship between Mike and a girl he meets. She is distant because she was hurt by a guy...Mike grinds his package in her face and throws her around the staged in nearly every sexual position in the finale.

Movie over. Was so bizarre. My biggest complaint of the whole movie was that I was excited to see the very sexy Channing Tatum but he hid under that hat the ENTIRE movie -not a good look for him. I want to say something positive about this movie as I really liked the first one but it leaves little to work with.
