Review of Magic Mike XXL (2015) by Tvjerry — 02 Jul 2015
Three years after the first movie ends, the Kings of Tampa travel to one final show at a stripper's convention. On the way: they talk about their future plans, they talk about their love for each other, the entire gang only performs in the closing production (and then it's only abbreviated duos with audience members and tedious intros from Jada Pinkett Smith).
The flesh fest of the original is gone, but more importantly, Matthew McConaughey's magnetic personality isn't there to give the movie vigor. There are a few fun moments and some early solos that are enjoyable, but these guys have embraced their feminine side with all their sensitive sharing and dull chatter.
