I didn't watch the first movie, so I didn't get the backdrop initially. However given the storyline, it doesn't seem to complex to piece together. To be honest, the film seemed like an excuse for a group of well trained and physically phenomenal guys to get their clothes off.
Channing Tatum is by far the most naturally gifted dancer of the group and takes the lead. I've heard the first movie is better so might give it a chance. The second fell short in my eyes. Only motivation to see this movie is to see how in shape one can be as a form of inspiration.
