Magic Mike is not about the plot. If you're looking for a well acted, well thought out plot with actors who can really draw you into a character and make you love them then this is not it. What Magic Mike is is a fun waste of two hours for bored women.
Don't worry about the plot line. Grab some girlfriends, a couple of mixed drinks and the remote and enjoy it for what it is: men taking off their clothes. It's awesome just being that!
