"Work all day, work it all night.".
Living with a female and this one was an inevitable entry into the DVD player, hesitant at first, I decided to go ahead and give it a chance, mainly in part to the fact that I am a huge fan of Director Steven Soderbergh (Traffic, The Oceans Trilogy). Now lets put all of the male stripping aside, and focus on the story and the plot of the film. Magic Mike has one hell of a story to it, a compelling and absorbing storyline that, to my amazement, really kept my attention and kept me watching for the entire runtime. A film that was most definitely aimed at women for obvious reasons, but also a film that can appeal to anyone looking for yet another great film from Steven Soderbergh. Supposedly Magic Mike was loosely based on real life events in Channing Tatum's past before he became a superstar. It's a damn good crime story that will keep you watching, sure male stripping is not my thing, but there is more than that going on in this film.
It's as star studded as a film can be, starring Matthew McConaughey, Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer and Matt Bomer. Great acting, great story, great movie.
