Review of Magic in the Moonlight (2014) by Ben R — 28 Jul 2014
Woody Allen delivers another late career masterwork with MAGIC IN THE MOONLIGHT, a soft, subtle and incredibly sweet films that recalls such classics as THE PURPLE ROSE OF CAIRO, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S SEX COMEDY and BROADWAY DANNY ROSE.
Colin Firth is absolutely fantastic and it could be argued that Emma Stone is the single most charming actor working today. Add in a surprisingly romantic (in more ways than one) script and this is definitely top tier Allen, A magnificent movie that I am still smiling about 48 hours after the fact.
