Review of Magic in the Moonlight (2014) by Brian S — 17 Aug 2014

This movie was so bad that I actually groaned out loud in a couple of scenes. The story was contrived and flat and predictable. The actors performances were so wooden they looked like they were embarrassed to be there.

There was no chemistry between the 25 year old Emma Stone and the 53 year old Colin Firth. There is an almost 30 year gap in age between the stars, but I guess that wouldn't mean anything to Woody Allen.

I guess I was expecting more since his last film Blue Jasmine was so wonderful and well acted.
