Deliberately stilted and theatrical in execution, which sent us many guffaws in appreciation, especially of Firth's flawlessly acerbic wit and Stone's stoned goggle-eyed response. The ending came as an obvious but unexpected surprise, a fitting close to this charming 20's flapper romcom.
