Review of Magic in the Moonlight (2014) by Jason C — 28 Dec 2014
This was quite a good enjoyable movie as grumpy Englishman Stanley Crawford or commonly known as magician Wei Ling Soo (Colin Firth) is alerted to the South of France to a young American girl Sophie (Emma Stone) who claims to be a spiritualist so Stanley wants to unmask her as a phony.
The film achieves what it set out to do from starting off a cat and mouse chess match to and interesting love story and did it well. Firth and Stone showed great on screen chemistry and delivered their dialogue perfectly.
Thoroughly enjoyed this particular Woody Allen piece.
