Review of Magic in the Moonlight (2014) by Yenyen D — 24 Jun 2015
I've been delaying this movie for quite a while now, but finally got myself to.
Watch it, and I really liked it! I'm ashamed to say that this is my first time.
Watching a Woody Allen film, but you got to start somewhere! The story is rather.
Interesting and I liked the concept of it. A non-believer in psychics finds the "real deal" and instead of 'unmasking her', he falls in love with her! It was very.
Entertaining to watch, and Colin Firth and Emma Stone never dissapoint me! Emma Stone is as cute as ever playing the weird, yet interesting Sophie, and Colin Firth plays the non-believer who falls in love with her. It more or less unfolds like you'd expect a romantic comedy to unfold, so it's quite easy to guess what's going to happen. The movie has some really amusing/funny moments, most of the laughs come from Colin Firth's comments on the "unseen world" and such similiar stuff. All in all, a very amusing and cute film with an expectable outcome, but still charming and worth a watch. Would recommend!
