Myeh. it was almost great but it had big problems. there was no reason the wife needed to be from iceland. that decision created a bad performance by a good actress and drew my attention away from the content of every scene she was in.
the two principals didnt have much chemistry. because thats three subpar performances by three actors I usually enjoy, I suspect its the fault of the writer-director. I applaud the attempt to make a woody allen film since woody allen wont do it anymore, but this screenplay needed a lot of work before it got in front of a camera.
