Review of Maggie (2015) by Jorge Mauricio M — 06 Jan 2016
To say I enjoyed this movie would probably be wrong. This is a stark and depressing film. Not everyone is going to be able to watch this to the end because it can be emotional. It takes a unique look at death and how we handle the end that we know is coming.
I can really appreciate what the creators of this film were trying to do. One thing I always look for in a good movie is, does it stir you emotionally? For me, this movie does. As a parent the story line is easy to relate to.
It has a painful " what if? " situation. Your going to naturally think " what would I do?" Yes you see Arnold as the "star" of this film, but this isn't the Arnold your use to.
This may be his best work. This is a drama, no action. I think he did a wonderful job as the father. I would encourage viewing of this movie.
