Review of Maggie (2015) by Jsharbour — 24 Oct 2015
This movie was a real surprise at a retail store as I had missed its theatrical release. I took a chance on it, knowing nothing but the two excellent actors, and was not disappointed in their performances.
This is not an action film, and doesn't apologize for it, and those who review it negatively are incompetent movie watchers who don't understand that there's more than one genre of film. This film sort of has an old-school M.
Night feel to it, in the vein of The Sixth Sense--slow, suspenseful, nags at you, because you never know what's going to happen. But it doesn't throw blood in your face--this is not The Walking Dead, and that's what many reviewers are ignorantly comparing it to.
Whatever, I bought it, watched it twice already, will watch again.
