Review of Maggie (2015) by Grogmonster — 29 Jun 2015
I don't think I've ever seen a movie like Maggie. This movie hit me hard emotionally when I saw it a month ago and I have not been able to get it out of my mind since. Arnie plays a father who shows his daughter love, devotion, trust and dignity after she is bitten and infected with a virus that will eventually turn her into a zombie like state, Where everyone else pretty much gives up on her he refuses to.
Abigail Breslin plays Maggie as a teenager who accepts her fate without any outlandish behavior and just wants to be with family when the end comes, Her father is the only real family she has left. Breslin is outstanding in this role, she reminded me a lot of my own daughter which is probably why it hit me so hard.
