Review of Madea's Witness Protection (2012) by Fredrick W — 15 Jul 2012
It is often said when you make a movie, you better be damn sure that is better than the last one you made but it seems that Tyler Perry doesn't follow by that code. Madea's Witness Protection fails in every category that Big Happy Family succeed in.
It is about an CFO named George who has to go into witness protection with his family after learning that his investment bank was running a Ponzi scheme backed by the mob. With the help of Brian, him and his family end up at Madea's house for a couple months.
That is all you need to know for now. Now I am a huge fan of Joe, Madea's brother and Brian's dad (all three played by Tyler Perry), because he cracks me up in movie he shows up in but I was ultimately disappointed with how he was played out in this movie.
Hell even in Big Happy Family, he had me dying and he wasn't even one of the major supporting characters in that movie. Overall the other characters even Madea were bland and not interesting. I give this movie 2 out of 5.
Hopefully Tyler Perry next movie won't be so bad.
