I would have rated this higher because the Madea character is great, but this movie suffers from multiple personality disorder. It's trying to be two different movies within the same hour and a half.
You start to enjoy the hijinks by Madea, but the you smile is killed with a cut to a beating by a pimp. It's like Tyler knows your have fun and then decides to kill the moment as fast as possible.
either go drama or comedy, because the mix is just not working the way they exist now. Either story would be good on their own, just not the way they exist here.
