I like this movie and periodically find myself wanting to see it again. Its not perfect, but it has its moments.
Dr. Phil taking on Madea, as tyler perrys 6 foot 5 man dressed as a black grandmother...yeah. Madea is sent to anger management with Dr. Phil. She quickly has him on the ropes. The outtakes at the end are a stitch.
I tend NOT to like the sad mixed with the hilarious, and this movie has a scarred plot. A young woman with self esteem issues seeks love from an uncaring family, then she attaches to her best friend, who eventually rejects her in college. Realizing his discomfort, the guys college buds lures the woman into a demoralizing gang rape. Not the stuff of comedies. Otherwise Id give this movie 100%.
The overdramatized plot was set to showcase Madea as the wise woman counseling confused young women. Some of her advice is dead right.
So its worth seeing. The comedy bits....who hasn't wanted to just snap from obnoxious drivers, asinine relatives and friends who take advantage? I love the Madea character.
If you like strong woman comedy, this ones for you.
