Review of Made of Honor (2008) by Burton D — 27 May 2010
Once again - didn't expect much and didn't get it. Unconvincing - Dempsey's 'love' seems more like not wanting to lose his best friend and being willing to bed any attractive woman.
Monaghan's love for him comes from basically no where and her reasons for leaving her fiancée are undeveloped. Attempts to combat the notion of the perfect man, but ends up leaving it - the lead choosing her imperfect best friend over the epitome of man because he has table manners.
As with most of these films - introduces interesting ideas but leaves them undeveloped and unrefined.
