Review of Made in L.A. (2007) by Campbell P — 16 Mar 2015
A powerful documentary that shows the suffering of 3 workers in sweat shops for Forever 21. The three had suffered through many hardships and even had to go through sacrificing their home lives to make money for their families.
While the movie is tragic it's way longer than it should've been. This could EASILY have been 20 minutes shorter and been just as effective with all the information needed. I understand they wanted to make their mark on an important issue and I totally get that but it got to the point where they were just force feeding info down my throat.
Made In L.A. is a good doc but it just tries way too hard to be a history lesson landmark instead of just making this issue addressed more socially. C.
