Review of Made in Dagenham (2010) by Sue C — 09 Oct 2010
Beautifully cast evocation of a recent British history. Sally Hawkins has just the right amount of uncertainty in her performance to really hook you into the story. Time and again I was flashing back to my 1960's early childhood so they must have got the props in the domestic scenes just right.
The screening I saw had the sound mix wrong making the dialogue a bit faint. The necessitated concentration was rewarded time and again. Lovely score from David Arnold.
