Review of Made in Dagenham (2010) by Melodye R — 16 Apr 2011
Inspiring film about the fight for equal pay for women sent in 1960s England. It is so easy to take for granted what we have today and the film is a gentle and touching reminder of what our mothers and grandmothers endured before they empowered themselves.
All the performances were outstanding from Miranda Richardson, Bob Hoskins and the amazing Sally Hawkins. The story line may be predictable but always a fine balance between comedy and drama. This superb film gives these women the just recognition they deserve for their courage and bravery.
