Review of Made in Dagenham (2010) by Jeffrey C — 26 Nov 2010
Inspiring and a pointed reminder of the struggle in the 60's of this particular group of women to make a difference in the world by fighting against discrimination.I didnt find Miranda Richardson to be entirely believable but maybe she was too much of a contrast to the struggles of the Dagenham women.
I didnt feel Ritas hubby was a great representation of the stereotypical 1960's Northern, British male but it would have been too heavy had he been more dominant. I liked it a great movie, show it to high school girls most of whom take for granted that they should be entitled to equality without knowing how real women fought the fight to bring about change.
