Review of Made in Dagenham (2010) by Ingela Z — 02 May 2011
This consistently engaging little British film boasts some of the most understatingly badass performances from its female characters I've ever seen, Hawkins and supporting cast included. Everyone feels human, the message hits strong without being preachy IMHO, and it's funny to boot.
It's Normae Rae but British and more amusing. I'd like to watch this one again when I need reminding of quiet strength and how it can conquer.
