Review of Made in Britain (1983) by Ian C — 16 Oct 2016
Nobody quite does disturbing social realism like Alan Clarke. It is a shame that he didn't make more films. It is over a decade since, I last watched it, but I decided to revisit it after watching the Don Letts Skinhead documentary on BBC4.
Tim Roth gives his finest performance to date as the angriest young man to have ever graced celluloid. What I like about it, is that over thirty years later it is still relevant. With refugee crisis, recession and brexit, it is sad to say that we will see lots more of Trevor's for years to come.
