Review of Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (2008) by Yinalí R — 13 Jan 2015
The film does sport heart, but that heart does not detract attention from the poor screen play, which more so than often sends the film through a revolving door of hokey sentiment and routine shenanigans.
Ambitious effort, but overall, no better than the original. It just tries too hard, particularly to be emotional and funny at the same time.
You're better off renting The Lion King.
