Review of Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted (2012) by Matthew D — 26 Jan 2013

Movie Matt here with Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted. Continuing where the second one left off, our zoo animal friends Alex, Marty, Gloria & Melman are stranded in Africa but Alex convinces them to go to Monte Carlo to contact the penguins to get them back to New York City where they meet some traveling circus animals & Alex gets pursued by a VERY determined animal control officer who won't stop until he's dead.

While I liked the first two, I DISliked this one because while they give an explanation why the circus group was incompetent, what they DON'T give is an explanation is why the officer is chasing them but they imply that when they broke out of the zoo in the first film, somewhere between the first, second & third they notified AC (Animal Control).

I also was completely disappointed at the fact that they have them return to New York only to have them return to the circus again! Well, out the three films in the series, I'll say it & I quote Roger Ebert "I HATED THIS MOVIE!" (from Ebert's review of North).
