Madagascar 3 performs remarkably well with visuals and includes its trademark sense of humor and wit that are enjoyable by both adults and children. The Madagascar films are always fun, featuring adequate plots with comical narrative and unique characters who remain consistent to their nature throughout the movies.

This second sequel's action doubles the last film's, making the crazy antics of the monkeys and penguins the center of the plot and the calmer dialogue of the four primary characters a thing of the past.

Parents would be cautioned that the sexual humor and animation style violence increases in this movie. Overall, an enjoyable and funny film that would do better if it slowed down and allowed for some character development.
