Review of Madagascar (2005) by Nikolaj Z — 06 Jul 2013
Madagascar has so much going on in it that it's hard to tell what it's really trying to accomplish. Is it meant to be a slapstick comedy? Is it supposed to be a darker film, reflecting on anger and the need to feed? I suppose it tries to be both, but it seems like it tries to be many other things as well, and that is ultimately what brings it down.
The four penguins are a real comic delight, however.
