Review of Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) by Danburrito — 06 Feb 2016
I haven't seen any of the original "Mad Max" movies, but I saw this one because I heard so many great things about it and because of the best picture nomination. I wasn't disappointed. Now, it was a bit short on plot but as a spectacle, it was stunning.
The action scenes were amazingly done, and when they move away from the action to focus on the story for a while, it's no less compelling. Now, don't watch it expecting a completely original, thought-provoking masterpiece that will leave you thinking about life.
Watch it expecting a fun, visually stunning action movie with interesting characters (though some are a little underdeveloped) and so much action, you won't believe it was directed by a 70-year-old (let alone, the 70-year-old who directed "Happy Feet"!).
All in all, a good movie.
