Review of Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) by Devo-Nc — 16 May 2015

A feeling I haven't had since walking out of Inception, when a movie leaves you bared down and breathless. A true cinematic experience and action-driven roller coaster ride that revs up in the first 5 minutes and is on popcorn munching heroin.

Fury Road is one of the greatest action movies ever made and the best of the 21st century that I've seen. It doesn't bull **** you, it cuts to the chase, never holding back staying true to Miller's vision in making a more affordable masterpiece on his own behalf.

Mad Max deserves award nods for cinematography, sound, visual effects and make-up. But we needed this, after so many E-rated for everyone video game movies that make billions and have very little tension and social contraversy, here is a movie that doesn't care about a grande appeal, it has character driven motives and every pure image of it gleams a sense of purpose.

The soundtrack pulse-pounding, the performances from Nick Hoult and Charlize Theron the best of their careers and the fearless brutality of showing us what a lovely day is in this world gut-wrenching.

Of course this movie isn't for everyone, but if you can't handle some of the subject matter then it's on you. Mad Max is an unforgettable moviegoing masterpiece.
