Review of Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) by Deanomite — 12 Feb 2020
It gets an 8 for the dust storm scene and amazing photography and editing. I need a script, this takes the final chase from The Road Warrior and makes it a movie. Charlize Theron is always amazing, but there is zero character development for any character.
The stunts are good but corny, the editing is probably the best part. Tom Hardy is no Mel Gibson. It is too corny, they shoehorn in contemporary feminist angles the best way Hollywood knows how-a tanker full of breast milk? Bruckheimer must have had a hand.
The vehicles look like doodles on the back of a high schoolers' notepad or knockoff bumper stickers. I miss the crazy homosexual dude in assless chaps, mad about his boy toy getting lobotomized by a feral kid with a boomerang.
Now that was a good script.
