If you have seen the first two: Mad Max and Road Warrior - you will appreciate Fury Road but not go crazy over it. It is a visual and artistic spectacle, however, a weak story; the previous installments are more substance and less flash.
Fury Road's script is practically non-existent. See the other two and you will appreciate how much better they are - especially when you consider how long ago they were made. They did not need all the special effects to produce solid products.
The one exception, Beyond Thunderdome is the weakest of all four.
