Review of Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) by Serge C — 25 May 2016

Action ? Yes. Visuals ? Sure. Scenario ? Not so much.

I struggled to watch this in its entirety. The first 30 minutes set the tone perfectly : do not expect any coherence, depth of characters or, well, anything other than full in-you-face action here. Nothing stands up to scrutiny, no character holds up to any real logic, and of course it has nothing to do with the first movies of the same franchise.

Let it be noted that Charlize Theron is the real main character here, and plays her part with talent and charisma, which sorely lack in Tom Hardy.
