More Mellow Max than Mad, this third installment sees Gibson kind of sleepwalking his way through a movie that is very much a product of the mid Eighties. You got the songs opening and closing the movie, big hair and the need to make the lead less anti-hero more an Indiana Jones type as he saves the day for a bunch of kids.
Not as good as the previous movies but a lot better than most third installments.
