Review of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985) by Brett H — 19 Jul 2014
Serious derailment from what made the series so entertaining and is at best; HALF of a true Mad Max film. The story started out as essentially the Lost Boys from Peter Pan surviving on their own in the jungle, and then some genius decided to toss Max into the fray and it was just going to work.
This film starts out well enough and then peaks at the 45 minute mark after a very cool fight in the aforementioned, Thunderdome. The latter half of the film is a complete 180 and it nose-dives in a hurry.
Couldn't be more let down by this terrible final installment, and now I greatly look forward to the reboot!
