Review of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985) by Lee A — 18 Aug 2014
Although it departs from the gritty over the top style of the first films into just full blown over the top also with the kids taking up most of the second and third act it can never really find a consistent tone.
But George Miller's ability to film a balls to the wall car chase, a grand performance from Tina Turner and a more fleshed out story make the film rather entertaining on it's own merits. But it's strictly a love it or hate it film.
