Review of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985) by Tim W — 02 Apr 2015
There are elements in this third entry that have great potential and fans might enjoy the cage match and some of the conclusion. But the entire second act is a total snooze fest. The subplot with the children falters considerably and leaves us wondering who really cares? Tina Turner is fun to watch but she can't save the abysmal lack of vehicle mayhem that we've come to expect from Mad Max.
Not surprisingly, it killed the franchise for thirty years.
