Review of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985) by David P — 26 May 2015
*Re-watching and rating the original trilogy after seeing Mad Max: Fury Road*.
If the Road Warrior is to Heavy Metal and Punk Rock, than Beyond Thunderdome is to 80's Pop and Disney soundtracks. It is a far more cohesive story than the first film of the franchise, but it suffers dramatically from having completely shifting the tone that was established in the first two films to one that is not too far off from Robin Williams' Hook. This is a children's story and Max has no place in it.
