Review of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985) by Noah F — 27 May 2015

So it took a rewatch, and I enjoyed it a lot more. It honestly took a rewatch of each Mad Max film to really love them. Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome is still the weakest of the films, but it isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be.

It was great to see that the society had started to build from the apacolypse.

I didn't like how Bruce Spence played the pilot in this film, because the entire time I thought it was the same character Bruce played in The Road Warrior. It really threw me off. It is too hollywood-ized, which is really a shame, because the first two were great because of the small budgets. I also thought the 80's music did not fit well at all in the film, especially when you try to set the tone off of the last two movies.

Overall, it was enjoyable. There wasn't really anything wrong with the film as a whole. It was the most fantasy-esque out of the original three films, which was very fun to watch. It is the most fun Mad Max movie, noteable for its PG-13 rating.
