Beyond Thunderdome isn't horrible, but it loses the grit established in the first two movies and instead sacrifices it for a more universal "family-friendly" approach. It doesn't pay off well either.
But I will say of the three, for being as corny as it is, it has probably some of the best lines and possibly only lines I remember from any of the films. Still continuity doesn't hold but I guess that's the point of Max, he's a wanderer.
