Review of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985) by Robert M — 16 Sep 2015
Probably the best and the most unique Mad Max film in the older trilogy series. I was quite pleasantly surprised with this one. While the overall film had a similar look, it had almost a totally different feel.
Max is back and on a whole new journey with completely new characters, as well as one or two previous ones. George Miller directs this third installment in a new and almost unexpected way. With two different tribes trying to survive the post-apocalyptic atmosphere, they both apparently don't get along with one another well.
As usual, the film had incredible stunts and amazing visual action. It doesn't get much better than Beyond Thunderdome. Very unique overall, well crafted story, and a great surprise especially for fans.
