Review of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985) by I C — 13 Jul 2014
Always found this one hard to watch, it's not as exciting or as interesting as the first two. In fact, we've already dealt with children in Mad Max 2 where he befriends one child and it's pretty much the same with this, but with a group of children instead, and the worst part is, that is the main focus of the film.
Only the actual thunderdome battle scene and the chase at the end are the best scenes because they're classic Mad Max, everything else is stupid typical 80's cheese that feels wrong to be in this film, I don't care if it has Tina Turner, it's the worst of the trilogy. Hopefully, Fury Road will be an improvement. The best thing about this film is the fact that it shows that Max still has a human side to him, instead of just revenge in his mind as shown in the second film.
