Review of Mad Max 2 (1981) by Danny R — 29 Dec 2011
My life fades the vision dims all that remains are memories, I remember a time of chaos ruined dream this wasted land, but most of all I remember the Road Warrior, the man we called Max....from the films opening narration.
The quintessential action classic a masterpiece of pure kinetic thrills which is brilliantly directed by George Miller. "The Road Warrior" is a an exhilarating and vastly superior sequel to the cult film "Mad Max," the film benefits greatly from Mel Gibson's genuine star charisma and his brilliant nearly wordless performance as Max, a post-apocalyptic nomad who has withdrawn from life but reluctantly comes to the aid of a group of settlers who are under siege in their oil refinery-homestead, by an army of murderous marauding bikers lead by a hulking massively-muscled psychotic named the Humungus and his chief enforcer a sadistic Mohawk wearing maniac, Wez.
A sizzling pure adrenaline rush with some of the most spectacular car stunts ever filmed, one of the absolute classic's of the early 80s. Highly Recommended.
