Review of Mad Max 2 (1981) by Ryan M — 12 Mar 2012
This movie was made in 1980, and especially thanks to the awful setting -- post-apocalypse desert of Australia -- it shows only a little datedness. Even 30 years later, at least for this forty-something, it's still highly entertaining and the plot still beats many of the highly hyped action flicks of the past 10 years, which stress effects over plot.
When are the likes of James Cameron going to grow up? Plot, always plot, or its not at all art, but a technology project.
