Review of Mad Max 2 (1981) by Will D — 23 Mar 2013
More kick-ass and far superior than the original movie! Mel Gibson is back as Max and this time he's helping the surviors of the post-apocalyptic future battle another renegade of bikers Max has escaped his past demons ever since the loss of his family and now he patrols the wastelands along with his canine companion he even finds an unlikely partner in Gyro Captain Lord Humungus as the gang's leader is one scary bad guy minus the fact that he looks like he borrowed Jason Vorhees' hockey mask, his pawn Wez is pretty much out of his mind and an uncontrollable animal the action scenes from last time are amazingly improved, tons of destruction and explosions plenty of social commentary is in Mad Max 2 about human behavior and industry and they even give an explanation as to how everything fell apart in this world that little kid in the movie is a pain from time to time but he does help out our heroes for the cause 'Road Warrior' is right up there with what everything a great sequel should be in the ranks with 'T2, 'Aliens' and 'Empire Strkes Back' do not pass this up!
