Review of Mad Max 2 (1981) by Scott A — 12 Jun 2013
I loved Mad Max 2 the first time I watched it, but when I re-watched the entire trilogy, I realized they all got even better with additional viewings. I was wrong to not give this a perfect score and I realize this now.
This film is absolutely superb, even to the point of where the cheesy moments fit the tone and feel perfectly. The story while simple is executed well, the acting is solid, and the action scenes are captivating and thrilling.
It also has a heart as well, unlike most other action films. If you love a good action film (And if you have good taste in good action films), you owe it to yourself to see this superb trilogy.
