Review of Mad Max 2 (1981) by Eduardo A — 07 Aug 2014
The saga of Mad Max, created and directed by George Miller, continues with a second chapter that is better than the first. The film shows us the character of Mad Max (always played by the excellent Gibson), only in a world poised, in which you fight and kill to survive.
What struck me about the film and script, is the theme that is the focus of this film, which is what human relations, addressed, in an extraordinary way. The character of Max, in this film, is represented as a mercenary, which protects this community of refugees, only for fuel, but it does not mean that the character has lost his humanity, which is represented in a beautiful scene, in where Max shows and plays a mechanism for a carillon to a child and giving it to him, smiling.
Wonderful movie, funny and with a heart. Spectacular and exciting final chase.
