Review of Mad Max 2 (1981) by Anthony S — 16 May 2015
Unlike the first film, I can actually believe the post-apocalyptic setting of this sequel. We have a stern, damaged protagonist of few words who would rather make it out on his own than live in a group.
Not the type of protagonist everyone connects to but I can on a certain level. We also have the villains who plunder and rape and have a unique sense of style and we've got the group about to lose it all to them.
The action is entertaining even if the sequences are considered long by some people. This sequel stands on it's own well enough and is, in my opinion, vastly superior to it's mediocre predecessor.
